ROW80 Round 3 - 3rd Update

Since last Wednesday, I've tinkered with my first chapter in a half-arsed manner, trying to get it presentable for use in my fantasy eBook prototype. Haven't really added any words, though; in fact, I've probably cut my word count. Though it won't be perfect by the time it goes into my eBook, I will hopefully be able to get it to a reasonable standard to make it a bit more interesting for my test participants.

I've finally completed the ethics form paperwork for my user testing, as well as the explanatory statement, interview questions and survey. I've also more or less finished the design, interface graphics and illustrations for my eBook.

But the programming... Oh, the programming. Kill me now. Everything that can go wrong is going wrong, and stuff that shouldn't go wrong is going pear-shaped as well. I'm honestly concerned that it won't be done in time. Add this to the fact I've had a crappy few days and a monstrous migraine to go with it, and my optimism for the project is pretty shaky. Mental... Breakdown... Imminent...

Judgemental Dog does not approve of sunny days.

    Oh, man, Rebecca! It has been a tough week, but hang in there. Despite it all, you did accomplish something! Hang on to that--you've managed to push past pain and frustration to work. There are millions of people who can't do that.

    Oh, I can relate to those migraines....sigh. Haven't had any for a few years (knock wood!), but they can be a bear.

    Tell Judgmental Dog to behave! LOL

    You're actually achieving a lot, so congrats!

    hang on girl - bad dress rehesals always mean a good show - remember that - and summer is not the time for break down - against the rules - you have done, are doing, will be doing well.

    I can relate to the frustration, had a problem where my html kept garbling, had to redo it about 8 times. Hopefully you'll find a way through it and problem solving is a part of the creative lifestyle. Have a hot chocolate with marshmellows floating on top and remind yourself while you're doing all this.

    *hugs* Sorry to hear about the migraine. They do take a lot out of you. Trying to do programming on top of that. You poor thing. Hope things get better and it starts clicking for you.
