I am a PhD student, tutor and research assistant at Monash University in the IT Faculty, with an Honours Degree in IT/Multimedia and a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing. I write fantasy novels (medieval and steampunk) and dabble in various types of art and illustration (mainly acrylics and watercolours but also soft pastels, oil pastels and coloured pencils). I love chocolate, dragons and my German Shepherd, Rex.

This blog was originally created with no real purpose in mind; it was simply going to be for me to rant about whatever took my fancy. Eventually I started using it for the ROW80 writing challenge, and these days, ROW80 stuff is pretty much all I post here, though sometimes I'll post rants or musings about various things that interest or annoy me.

I have another writing blog over at Dragons, Demons and Darkness, where I post things like reviews (on books and art supplies) and artwork, and talk about writing and IT/Multimedia-related stuff. I have also written and illustrated a children's picture book, Belvedere.
